Dave is a local legend in the Midlands and nationally (being awarded an OBE in October 2020). The film by Pixel Revolution Films premiered to a packed audience at The Birmingham REP in Feb 2019 before going on in 2019/2020 to attract a lot of attention at film festivals around the world, winning best short film and screen play in Los Angeles, Italy and India among others. It has been recently available on Amazon Prime. In other projects as a writer/spoken word artist, before Covid-19, I regularly appeared at local theatres & performance venues (including Birmingham REP) at art galleries, museums, and community arts festivals. I am now working on projects that will be on screen and remain part of Writing West Midlands Room 204, a group of emerging writers selected by Writing West Midlands for their development program. I have been involved in various Arts Council funded projects including Storytelling for The Mee Club at The Herbert Museum (2016) and Writer/Storyteller in Residence with The Phoenix Centre in Birmingham (2104) producing the anthology "Voices from the Ashes".
